I left a banking career in the mid 1980's and joined the staff of the Mountain Democrat newspaper
in Placerville as a photographer. In my 20 year career I have won over 30 personal and professional awards for photography
and writing.
I
have had work published in many magazines, including Nikon World, Westways, Country, Sierra Heritage, American Forests and
Nevada. I've also had photographs exhibited in South Lake Tahoe, the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite, Hearst Castle, Nikon
House in New York, the Margaret Crow Gallery in Pasadena and locally in El Dorado County at New Beginnings, Goldsmith, Gallery
El Dorado and Red Door Galleries, as well as in numerous shows. I also donate work to various local charity auctions.
Since leaving full time employment, I have continued developing my photography
skills. I have also begun spending more time painting in both acrylics, watercolors and encaustic and have had work accepted
in several juried shows and recently won an award in a local art association membership show.
